Fortna Celebrates One-Year Anniversary in Mexico

Growing client list includes Coppel, Devlyn, Dunosusa and others

READING, PA (May 21, 2015) – Fortna, The Distribution Experts™, celebrates the one-year anniversary of its entry into the Mexico market.  Fortna’s commitment to guaranteeing results on large distribution projects has won favor in the market.  Just twelve months after its May, 2014 launch, Fortna is serving a growing client base of companies in Mexico that includes Coppel, Devlyn, Dunosusa and others.

“Our experience with Fortna has been very good. They have helped us understand how it is possible to overcome barriers so that the project we had in mind three years ago, became feasible for our business,” said Maribel Hernández, manager of operations at Devlyn. “Fortna helped us align all the stakeholders that would be impacted by the project (real estate, production, logistics, and retail stores within others). Not only was the project on time and within budget, the business case we built together allowed us to make the best decisions for our company.”

“We want to make our processes more efficient to achieve significant savings in personnel and to make life easier for our associates,” said Roberto Alcaraz, continuous improvement and re-engineering manager at Coppel. “Fortna brings ample experience to the table and is helping us make this a reality in a sustainable way, while assuming a great part of the risk associated with these projects.”

To celebrate the anniversary, Fortna held a “Trends in Mexican Distribution” networking event on May 14 that had over 45 attendees discussing topics ranging from omni-channel distribution to increasing fulfillment speed.  In addition to a panel discussion, Russ Meller, vice president of research and development at Fortna, gave a speech on The Physical Internet, a vision for a more sustainable logistics system.

“It was an exciting event with great discussions around the issues that challenge local business leaders,” said Juan Arroyo, vice president of sales for Mexico at Fortna.  “We look forward to applying our experience with companies across the globe to the unique challenges of this market.”
