Tessco Technologies distributes technology products for wireless service operators and direct to consumer retailers in the US and internationally.  Their inventory is as diverse as massive components for cell towers along with tiny accessories for consumer cell phones such as battery packs and headsets.

Tessco was challenged with enhancing customer service for high-turning products  while reducing overall supply chain costs.  A team from Fortna/Q4 worked with Tessco on critical operations as well as supply chain execution systems projects. 

Tessco engaged Fortna/Q4 to replace a 15-year old legacy system and implemented a new supply chain execution software package in 2 of their distribution centers.  The new WMS has yielded greater inventory accuracy, increased order output, decreased freight costs and provided greater inventory and order visibility across Tessco’s supply chain.
