Fortna was contracted to direct Moen's customer service levels to a higher standard of excellence and keep performance levels ahead of growth and market-share goals. Fortna provided a comprehensive distribution operation design for Moen facilities in North Carolina and Nevada. The new operation design included the design and implementation of advanced material handling systems at each facility controlled by Fortna's universal warehouse control software (WCS), FortnaPlus™. Fortna's planning and solid project management team delivered the solutions without disruption to Moen's ongoing distribution operations.

Moen capitalized on the ability to increase value-added services, giving Moen added flexibility to meet its client specific requirements. Moen also experienced improved order accuracy and quality. Increased productivity of the distribution operation resulted in overall reduction in distribution costs. Most importantly, Moen met its strict internal rate of return (IRR) goals for any capital investments.
