Forzani is Canada's biggest sporting goods retailer, with about 230 company-owned stores under the names Coast Mountain Sports, Sport Chek, and Sport Mart.  Forzani also wholesales to about 195 franchised stores under the names Atmosphere, Econosports, Intersport, R'n'R, Sports Experts, and Tech Shop.

A team of business process and IT specialists from Forzani and Fortna worked together to bring the multi-million dollar “Gemini Project” to life. Gemini’s technology initiatives included the implementation of new systems for Warehouse Management, allocation and strategic integration plus standardization on the utilization of packs throughout their supply chain.
Fortna provided project management, design and configuration expertise, and extensive unit and field testing to ensure the new WMS would meet FGL's business goals.  An extensive transition management program was also designed that included customized documentation and training to ensure the new processes were adopted into successful use.

FGL reports impressive benefits from this project.  They were up to full productivity within two days of implementation and are now achieving 15% greater throughput in their 2 DCs.  They report a 5% increase in units moved per labor hour while acheiving a 5% decrease in unit cost.  Inventory accuracy levels are rising and store sales are following suit, as the new system increases the responsiveness of their DCs through faster dock to stock times.
