Fortna was contracted to help leverage Ditan's operation costs and improve customer services levels within its distribution network. Fortna also used its DC Design and material handling systems integration expertise to upgrade and expand Ditan's distribution capabilities.

Fortna utilized FortnaDCmodeler™ throughout the design process of Ditan's large and small facilities. FortnaDCmodeler analysis assisted in defining the correct order dynamics in relation to the correct financially justified material handling design. Fortna's integration team engineered and implemented three new facilities utilizing advanced technologies such as put-to-light, A-frame picking, print and apply, and high/mid speed sortation controlled by FortnaPlus, universal control software system.

Ditan capitalized on its improved accuracy, and on-time delivery levels to gain a competitive advantage and market share in the electronic distribution industry.
