Two Fortna Clients Named 2017 DC Velocity Rainmakers

Two of Fortna’s clients, Hobey Strawn of TTI Inc. and Jack Samson of L.L.Bean, have been named 2017 Rainmakers by DC Velocity. Highlighted in their July issue, eight supply chain professionals were selected because each are “united by a common goal of advancing the logistics and supply chain management profession.”

Hobey Strawn is vice president of operations for the Americas at TTI Inc. He is responsible for the company’s distribution operations and logistics functions, including all activities related to receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, transportation/freight, and trade compliance.

Jack Samson serves as vice president fulfillment, returns, manufacturing, and logistics at L.L.Bean. He’s currently the project lead for a team that’s focused on strengthening the company’s omnichannel retailing strategy and practices, which includes a redesigned distribution center and the installation of a new WMS.

Fortna Announces Organizational Changes to Better Serve Clients and Drive Innovation

READING, PA (July 5, 2017) – Fortna®, The Distribution Experts®, announced today two changes that will drive innovation and improve customer service.

Nikko Pianetto has been promoted to the role of Executive Vice President. In this role, he will lead the global services organization that manages all of Fortna’s service offerings that are involved in turning a companies’ distribution operations into a competitive advantage.

Previously, Pianetto led the global software development team responsible for FortnaWCS™ and FortnaWES™ – Warehouse Control and Warehouse Execution Systems – the sophisticated warehouse systems that power high performance distribution operations, like the kind needed for eCommerce. In addition, Nikko also played an integral role in opening an innovation hub in Hanoi, Vietnam to continue to advance Fortna’s capabilities in design, analytics and software.

Will King has been promoted to Pianetto’s former role as GVP, Integrated Technology Solutions. In this role he will continue to build out the Engineering and Implementation Services critical to delivering quality solutions to Fortna clients. He will also lead the expansion of Fortna’s Client Lifetime Protection services, an essential part of keeping today’s “always on” distribution operations performing at peak. This includes helping clients with a comprehensive support strategy that goes beyond a number to call when there are issues. It also includes taking a long-term view and creating a roadmap to ensure operations will perform in the future, meet the ROI that was promised, and stay current with business and technical changes.

Fortna Named to Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100 for “Great Supply Chain Project”

Fortna Opens New Office in Midtown Atlanta

Fortna Opens Development Hub in Hanoi, Vietnam

Fortna Raises Awareness and Funds for Male Health Issues

Led by the Fortna IT team, Fortna Associates participated in the Movember challenge to shave clean on the first of the month and grow out their moustache or “mo” as a visual reminder of their commitment to helping men live happier, healthier, longer lives.  The Fortna “Mo Bros” and their team of supportive sisters helped raise awareness of male issues like testicular cancer and male suicide.  Fortna associates raised money for the cause, and an additional donation was made by Fortna in support of Associates’ efforts.  For more information about what Movember Foundation is doing to make a difference in these important health issues visit www.movember.com
