2013: Fortna was awarded for its work with a large apparel retailer who was expecting phenomenal growth and wanted a long-term strategy to support its multiple channels. Fortna helped the company retrofit its existing distribution center so that it can process twice as many orders and fulfill an order in half the time. Most importantly, the retailer has a roadmap for the future and the distribution capacity to take on new brands and products.
2012: Fortna was recognized for its work with a major retailer whose distribution centers could not keep up with the company’s growth rate of 30 new stores per year. By remapping its distribution process and retrofitting its distribution centers, the retailer cut in half the time it takes to ship from DC to store and reduced distribution operations cost by $23 million.
2011: Fortna was honored for its project at MSC Industrial that was the single biggest cost-cutting initiative in MSC’s history. The company saw a 62% improvement in productivity, a double-digit ROI, improved cash flow and better employee morale.

Penske Logistics, was recently awarded Whirlpool’s “Supplier of the Year” award based on the success of their labor management program that was piloted in Perris, CA. Fortna partnered with Penske and Whirlpool to create and implement a comprehensive Organizational Excellence program, the results of which included Labor productivity increases and cost reductions.
